Greg Murphy, Ph.D., has over 40 years experience as a psychologist. He has worked in developmental centers, rehabilitation centers, schools, outpatient clinics and in private practice. In addition, he has been a consultant to schools and group homes and other agencies. Over the years he has taught Psychology to undergraduate students at St. John’s University and to graduate students at Mercy College in New York. He was the research chairman of the New York Association of School Psychologists until he moved to Virginia in 2009. Dr. Murphy has treated children and adults with emotional and behavioral problems and developmental disabilities. In addition, he has published many studies on the effectiveness of various behavior modification and Cognitive Behavior Therapy techniques. Dr. Murphy is a specialist in treating individuals with ADHD and Oppositional Disorder. He often employs a behavioral, family therapy approach to help the children and adolescents improve. Also, he treats people with depression and anxiety disorders.
