Atlantic Counseling Group accepts many insurance companies including Anthem, all Blue Cross/Blue Shield National plans, CareFirst-Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, and Innovation Health.  In addition, some of our providers accept United Healthcare or United Behavioral Health, Medicare, and Tricare-as an approved out of network provider. Here at Atlantic Counseling Group, we strive to make your first appointment as easy as possible. Our intake department attempts to verify your insurance prior to your first visit in order to give you the most up to date information on your plan. However, it is still your responsibility to know the terms of your insurance policy. Also, any changes to your health insurance or your personal information should be provided in order for us to continue to bill for the services you receive.

United Healthcare

As one of the leading healthcare organizations in this area, Atlantic Counseling Group has been a provider with United Healthcare (UHC) and United Behavioral Health for many years. However, it has come to our attention that UHC has the lowest reimbursement rates out of all the major insurance companies. Moreover, they have declined to negotiate these rates with our group of providers. Due to this unfortunate turn of events, Atlantic Counseling Group and its providers may end their contracts with UHC at the end of 2017. We hope this time will allow clients an opportunity to express their concerns to UHC and with their HR departments. Also, during this time period, you may have the ability to choose insurance plans that would best address this possibility. Please discuss this matter further with the provider you see in our offices. In addition, you may want to use the following letters to aid in this process.
