Dr. Kelly Kit, Psy.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in working with adolescents and adults.  Over the past 6 years, she has provided individual, group, and family therapy. She practices from a strength’s based approach, utilizing insight-based therapy along with cognitive-behavioral techniques to promote growth in clients. Dr. Kit takes an integrative approach to therapy in order to meet each client’s needs by utilizing solution-focused therapy, multi-cultural, attachment-based, and client-centered therapies.


Dr. Kit believes that therapy should be a collaborative process that provides clients with a safe and supportive space, in which they can explore life experiences, learn tools to better manage current stressors, and utilize insight gained in therapy to promote personal growth.  Her areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, identity development, LGBTQ concerns, family of origin issues, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem development, and issues of diversity. Additionally, she provides psychological assessment for children, adolescents, and adults with a focus on ADHD evaluation and personality assessment.


Dr. Kit received her bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University and her master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Hartford. She has experience working with late adolescents and young adults at various college counseling centers and community mental health centers. She completed an APA-accredited internship at the Florida State University’s Counseling Center, focusing on crisis intervention, group therapy, and individual therapy. Dr. Kit completed an APA-accredited post-doctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Kennedy Krieger Institute, specializing in working with children, adolescents, and their families. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her dog.
