I am a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist specializing in psychotherapy with adults (18+) experiencing a wide variety of psychological, medical and/or psychosocial issues. My approach is collaborative, straightforward and approachable, based in an acceptance and values-driven way of seeing the world. What we work towards together is defined by you - based in your own belief system and measured by whether you are living your life in ways most consistent with what you value.

I began my work in mental health in 1998 and have been dedicated to obtaining rigorous education and training since. My doctorate (from the University of Denver, Graduate School of Professional Psychology) is in clinical psychology with a specialization in behavioral medicine. I have been licensed as a psychologist since 2005, first in Colorado, then West Virginia and Virginia. My doctoral residency/internship was completed at the Eastern Colorado VA Health System/Denver VA Medical Center. My postdoctoral clinical fellowship was completed at the Colorado Neurological Institute and at Regis University in Denver, CO. I was an assistant professor (clinical) at West Virginia University's School of Medicine (Dept of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry) until 2017.

My career has been focused on helping patients and family members dealing with psychological challenges (e.g., Attention-deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, anxiety disorders, trauma related disorders, relational issues, depression, etc.) and/or neurological illnesses, cancer and other medical conditions.
