Dr. Ellis is a Postdoctoral Resident at Atlantic Counseling Group, providing individual psychotherapy services (adolescents and adults) and conducting general psychological and neuropsychological assessments with children (6 years and up), adolescents, and adults. She earned her PsyD from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington, DC, and completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Sterling Behavioral Health Services. She earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Northern Virginia, and an additional Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University, Northern Virginia.

Dr. Ellis provides treatment for a variety of mental health conditions and concerns, including trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and interpersonal difficulties. Her treatment modality is integrative, and she pulls from dynamic, relational, family systems, and cognitive-behavioral orientations. Dr. Ellis completed advanced training in relational therapy and specializes in helping individuals understand and modify their patterns of relating to improve the quality of their relationships. She also completed advanced training in the treatment of OCD and is adept at conducting Exposure and Response Prevention. As a Postdoctoral Resident, she is supervised by Dr. Varkiani and Dr. Wilensky.
