I am currently a women’s health nurse practitioner working on my board certification for psychiatric and mental health nurse practice. I perform medication management and therapy and enjoy working with clients to evolve individualized treatment plans through the development of strong therapeutic relationships. Medication management includes monitoring medication effectiveness and side effects in a holistic approach, helping clients to heal by taking the entire human being and their life experiences into consideration. I focus on depression, anxiety, perimenopausal changes, parenting concerns, and life transitions.

Prior to my career as a nurse practitioner, I received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. After working for three years researching new antibiotic therapies as a medicinal chemist at a major pharmaceutical company, I returned to graduate school at Boston College and received a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in women’s health. I currently reside in Loudoun County with my husband and six-year-old daughter.
