Paula Domenici, PhD, specializes in treating trauma and PTSD using short term evidence-based therapies including Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Written Exposure Therapy. She is an expert in the field having taught thousands of behavioral health providers across the country and abroad how to effectively assess for and treat PTSD. She also works with individuals to overcome depression, insomnia, or anxiety through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has co-authored two self-help books on coping strategies for service members and their families. She is committed to using her expertise to improve the lives of individuals who have experienced traumatic events.

Dr. Domenici has been working as a psychologist for over 15 years providing individual counseling to adults and currently is delivering therapy through telehealth. She specializes in treating military-connected clients with behavioral health concerns related to deployment, combat, and reintegration to civilian life. She is in network with Aetna, Anthem, CareFirst, Cigna and Optum and non-network certified with Tricare.

Dr. Domenici completed her master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University and then received her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park.
