Victoria Scott, LPC, has a Master of Education degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from East Tennessee State University. Victoria has over 14 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and children. Victoria’s background in Family Systems Therapy allows her to provide therapy to both individuals and families while also helping individuals resolve difficulties or challenges in the context of their family units. This approach especially assists children and adolescents as well as their parents. Adults can benefit from this approach as well since they can gain insight regarding how coping skills affect relationships while still working on their own personal challenges or struggles.

Victoria also focuses on techniques that incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in order to help clients learn effective coping skills in the hope that they can better deal with various issues as related to stress, frustration, anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, grief, trauma, and relational difficulties. Victoria works with clients to empower them to find their own voice and inner strength while providing encouragement and empathy during difficult times.

Victoria’s approach to therapy is to be genuine while providing empathy and understanding. Victoria feels that building trust in the therapeutic relationship is crucial and that providing clients with a safe place to express themselves is essential in order to help them achieve their own goals while also feeling validation and acceptance. Listening is one of the most important aspects in the therapeutic relationship. Victoria also attempts to instill these aspects of building positive relationships within families and couples.
